AMARCON

Bridging the gap between research and maritime operations

We hope that 2004 has been as good for you as it was for  Amarcon. Since the first onboard OCTOPUS installation in 2002, the number of installations has been doubled each year. In 2004 a major achievement was made onboard containerships and the first installation onboard a pipe laying vessel was realized. 2005 looks very promising as well, with new challenges ahead in the offshore, dredging, navy and yacht segment.

We’d like to thank you all for the good co-operation last year and wish you all the best for 2005!

In 2004, Allseas’ Lorelay has been equipped with OCTOPUS and Miros’ Wavex wave radar for onboard monitoring and forecast of the environment and vessel responses.

Amarcon wishes you a prosperous 2005!

In co-operation with the world’s largest ship operators, a classification society, metocean offices, manufacturers of loading computers, radars and navigation bridges, Amarcon has been successful to secure new contracts for 2005 to implement OCTOPUS onboard ships as the intelligent second opinion for the master of the ship in rough weather with respect to monitoring, route planning and route optimization.
