After the successful installation onboard the White Shark, Kingfish, Marlin and Swordfish, CMA CGM also equipped the Orca, Dolphin,  Blue Whale and Tarpon with OCTOPUS. The setup comprises weather forecast, motion monitoring and forecast.

Of course we will promote our widely used OCTOPUS Onboard

system, the system based on a unique combination of ship,

weather and navigation data that obtains a consistent picture of the

ship's performance.

Besides this, we will present a preview of the new OCTOPUS

Office 6 software. OCTOPUS Office 6 has an intuitive and very

user-friendly interface. It does not only provide the best technical

Amarcon exhibits on the Europort Maritime 2007 Event in Rotterdam. The event takes place in Ahoy, Rotterdam on 6, 7, 8 and 9 November 2007.

Jumbo Shipping, the company for heavy lift transportation of large unit weight and size cargo - worldwide, has purchased two OCTOPUS Onboard systems for the Jumbo Javelin and the Jumbo Fairplayer. Besides that, Jumbo is testing the OCTOPUS Software

on a different kind of ship, the Jumbo Fairpartner.

On November 20th, Amarcon organizes the first OCTOPUS Usergroup meeting.

During this meeting the various OCTOPUS Modules will be explained and OCTOPUS Onboard and Office will be demonstrated. Participation to the meeting is for free, lunch and drinks during the meeting included. The main focus will be on OCTOPUS Office.
